Misty/Kasumi
Is it me, or does anime REQUIRE the main female characters to have a clothing problem? Can't we wear something a LITTLE better? I mean, red suspenders?? For goodness sake, if you're that scrawny that your shorts don't stay up around your waist, can't you just buy ones that fit? She's a gym leader, you'd think she could afford it!
To get back to the subject at hand, Misty is the Cerulean City gym leader. She's been following Ash since he destroyed her bike in the first episode. At this point, I think she'd use some of her money (she's a gym leader, remember?) to just buy herself a new one if that's the ONLY reason she's following him! She probably likes him... In the third episode, I think, she actually says something nice about him. But usually it's all just insults back and forth, and she's always targeted with the fact that she's so scrawny ("Real scrawny!" *Ash says this, then is whacked by Misty*)...
She has some decent Pokémon... She has Staryu, Starmie, Goldeen, Horsea, and (reluctantly) a Psyduck. She accidentaly caught Psyduck; it was sent with them in the Hypno episode, and when she tripped on a rock and fell, one of her Pokéballs fell and Psyduck let itself in. She also is the owner of Togepi, the cute little egg Pokémon who's more useless than a Magikarp. And the Jigglypuff that follows the group seems to really like her. Overall, she's got the most cute Pokémon in the group.
Psyduck is one of her most powerful Pokémon, and has gotten them out of trouble more than once, but usually it's an embarrassment. It only knows its good attacks when it's headache is too awful, so Misty gets to use it to her advantage, so she can beat it up for a good reason. She's shown that she likes it, but she also wants to get rid of it. I wish it would hurry up and evolve.
Why do I hate Misty? SHE'S A COPYCAT!!! I don't know, actually, maybe I'm just psychic or something. See, when I first created Brownee, she wore a VERY similar outfit. Just without the suspender-thangs and shoes. I believe the Pocket Monsters cartoon was already airing in Japan when I created Brownee, because I was looking in an old Animerica and there was a review waaaay back in April a couple years ago, and then that summer I created her. I knew NOTHING whatsoever about Pocket Monsters except that it had a Mokona-lookalike for a main character. So maybe I was just psychic. It wouldn't be the first time something eerie has happened to me.
I only have one comment left that I'd like to say... I wish she'd let her hair down more often!!! It looks a lot better when it's down! The ponytail is just stupid... If she really wants to be the "best at everything", she ought to learn about style. And maybe something about stealing someone's Pokémon egg. Don't you agree?
